Over the past few months, I have been thinking more deeply about what it means to build a life of peace that does not stop with us.
A peace that reaches into our families.
Our children.
Our grandchildren.
And the generations coming behind us.
You know, God has a way of placing things right in front of us when He wants us to pause, pay attention, and examine them a little more closely.
For me, family has always been one of my highest values. Being with my family, loving my family, and supporting families has always held a special place in my heart.
There is something so beautiful about family love.
That feeling of being supported.
That feeling of being cared for.
That feeling of knowing you belong somewhere.
And I know family can look different for each of us. I also know that for some, family relationships may feel more complicated than comforting. But I still believe love is universal. We all need to feel connected, supported, and cared for in some way.
That is why I have felt a nudge to begin moving my blog posts toward supporting families more intentionally; sharing ways families can grow in faith, strengthen their bonds, celebrate love, and build something meaningful together.
Especially in the times we are living in, I believe this matters deeply.
So starting in July, you will see a new focus here on the blog: family, faith, legacy, and the way we pass down wisdom from one generation to the next.
Or as I like to think of it:
Leaving footprints for the future.
Moving forward, my blog posts will be centered around what I am calling:
The 4Cs of Family Legacy
Communication
How we speak, listen, pray, share truth, and have meaningful conversations with one another.
Cohesion
How we build belonging, togetherness, traditions, emotional safety, and a sense of unity within the family.
Character
How we pass down values, wisdom, faithfulness, integrity, resilience, and godly identity.
Continuity
How we preserve stories, remember God’s faithfulness, and carry legacy from one generation to the next.
Each week, the blog will include reflections and simple practices that families can use to strengthen one of these areas. My hope is that these posts will not just be something you read, but something you can bring into your home, your conversations, your prayers, and your family rhythms.
Even though this is a new direction for me, I am excited about what God has been stirring in my heart.
My greatest hope is that every family who finds this blog will be encouraged to see the value of family time, to create more space to pray and listen together, and to pass down values and traditions that strengthen family bonds.
Most of all, I hope these reflections help families remember God’s faithfulness; not just for today, but for the generations still to come.
Prayer: Lord as I embark on this new direction in my ventures and walk with You, please give me the grace and wisdom to be able to be obedient to your will. Guide and direct me as I continue to share your word for the growth of your Kingdom. I am in alignment with You in focusing on families because you created the family unit to play a major role in in your Kingdom business. Amen.
