From “I Can’t” to “Look at God!” ✂️🧵

Knowledge to Ponder:

Let me tell you about my personal nemesis: sewing.

Whew, sewing has tried me for over 20 years. I’ve bought 3 sewing machines (yes, three), and bins and bins of fabric, determined to get this thing right. You see, both my sisters are expert seamstresses. So naturally, I thought, “This has to be in my bloodline!”

I took classes off and on for two decades — and still, it felt like I was getting nowhere.

But guess what?

At 59 years old, I finally cracked the code! 🙌🏽
Since then, I’ve made a sweatshirt, a dress, leggings, and even started a quilt. Y’all — I am over the moon excited!

Now let me ask you:
Have you ever faced a challenge that felt way too big?
Something that made you want to either push harder or throw in the towel altogether?

I’ve had many of those moments in my life — some much heavier than sewing. Real life-altering challenges. But here’s the beautiful part:

When I take a step back and really look at it all, I can clearly see the fingerprints of God all over my journey. He’s been orchestrating, organizing, and weaving every thread together, even when I couldn’t see it.

From Setbacks to Setups 🧩

Some of my toughest moments felt like pure setbacks.
But looking back, I realize they were actually setups — divine opportunities for God to show up and show out in a way that only He can.

Remember Abraham and Sarah? (Genesis 17)
The odds were stacked sky-high against them — but they had one thing on their side:
God’s promise.

Now, let’s be real: they weren’t perfect while they waited. They doubted, they got impatient, they tried to force things on their own. I can just imagine God shaking His head, chuckling at their antics — yet still faithful to His word.

Because here’s the truth:
God doesn’t fall short on His promises. Period.
No matter our missteps, He is still working behind the scenes.

All He asks from us is:
☑️ A little faith
☑️ A little patience
☑️ And the courage to step back and let Him be God.

For Anyone in the Middle of a Hard Season

If you’re dealing with:
💔 Broken relationships
💸 Financial stress
🏠 Housing troubles
😓 Disobedient children
🧩 Or any other weighty challenge…

Please hear me:
God sees you. He hears your cries. He has not abandoned you.
Bring your burdens to Him. Let Him step in and move mountains on your behalf.

Because He will.
He’s done it in my life, and He can do it in yours.

The question isn’t whether you’re ready for the challenge — it’s knowing that God is.

“Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14)

Your Challenge This Week:

🧩 Read Genesis 15–17.
Soak in the story of Abraham and God’s unshakable promise.

🙏🏽 Talk to God about your challenges.
Lay them out honestly — every single one.

👂🏽 Listen.
Get still, eliminate distractions, and wait on Him to speak to your heart.

🕊️ Trust.
He may not answer immediately, but He will show up. Trust the process and trust His timing.

Let this be the week you hand it all over and watch God work!

Prayer: Lord help me to continually see You in the midst of my troubles. There is no promise that life will always be easy, we have to learn to take the good times with the bad times but You have promised in your Word to always love and protect me if I am faithful to You. Lord I am committing my faith to You so that I can build a better relationship with You because I know that You are the answer, the only answer. Help me to not be shy to come to You when I need guidance and help in my daily life. Sometimes it’s hard to trust after being hurt so many times but Lord help me to see that in You is where I should place my trust; not in man. You will never hurt me. Lord help me to have a good week in Your son Jesus’ name. Amen
